Microsoft Urges Developers to Prepare for IE 7 | |

As Microsoft inches closer to the first beta release of Internet Explorer 7, the company's development advisors have been advising Web site developers and managers to run certain tests now to prevent problems when the beta version does appear. Although Microsoft Corp. is not releasing a specific date for the beta version, the company has stated that the browser will appear this summer, and that developers should be getting ready. At this point, Microsoft has given limited information on what will be included in the initial beta test, beyond stating that it will include features such as tabs and "developer platform advancements." | ||

| If MS changes the brower to meet these supposed "standards RECOMMENDATIONS...note..not requirements", the IE specific sites probably should be ready for change. |

Yeah, Patriot, I'd like to see that also! I'm so tired of the BS excuse that IE implements Microsoft only features. If anything Microsoft is guilty of under-implementing features and W3C standards. This post was edited by IronCladLou on Monday, July 18, 2005 at 17:26. |

| When will people finally understand that W3C does not write standards, but only recommendations. There is no reason MS should have to fully comply with what the W3C think everyone should do. |
