Wow, that's some incredibly misinformed writing.
Why these people aren't fired for being inept, I have no idea.
Among his assertions:
1.) WinXP can't encrypt files on the hard disk. (WRONG: Right click, properties, advanced, check "encrypt contents to secure data")
2.) Longhorn won't support Spotlight-style searching because it won't have WinFS. (WRONG: Not only can you get Spotlight-style searching RIGHT NOW on XP (MSN Desktop Search, Google Search, etc.), but it will absolutely be built into Longhorn along with a bunch of other cool-search related stuff. WinFS was NOT just an indexing layer on the file system. It was an object-oriented, truely relational and extensible file system far beyond what's available today... yes, including BeOS.)
3.) Completing tasks in Tiger generally take fewer steps than in XP. (MAYBE: Please, an example? I can give plenty where XP smokes Tiger. For instance, try sending a photo you just took with your digital camera to a friend via e-mail. XP will automatically resize it and attach it to an e-mail with 2 clicks.)
4.) XP is dated when compared to Tiger. (LAUGH: Visually... sure. Tiger is purty. In most other ways, however, XP is better. It's easier to use, it has FAR more software available, FAR more compatible hardware, it's typically faster, and it's certainly more secure... at least since SP2.)
