What do Bill Gates, Richard Nixon, Dr. Phil, Helen Keller and Tom Cruise have in common? According to America Online and the Discovery Channel, those five, and 95 others, are in the running to be voted the "Greatest American" of all time. The two media companies asked their constituents to submit nominees for that title and got more than 500,000 responses. | ||

Oh, c'mon, you suck. Osama was the equivalent of a supply sergeant for the middle east effort to thwart the communist Soviet Union in Afghanistan. And he ran his little supply effort from Pakistan. He never fired a shot in anger. He always had someone else do his dirty work for him.
What a hoot! He also worked for the CIA? I don't think so. You'd do well to read something about that war from those that actually were there and later wrote about it than repeat leftist screed. Ha Ha Ha Osama worked for the CIA! Ha Ha Ha . . . |

Perhaps not "the" but he certainly ranks well up the list.
When OSX 10.4 Tiger was released and so inappropriately compared to LH, he said something to the effect of, "I think that's great, what they're doing...we write software for that and I think it is a great thing..." He spoke softly and sincerely and seemed so much larger than the nonsense tossed around. That demonstrated a great deal of class. This post was edited by lketchum on Friday, May 13, 2005 at 04:39. |

| #10, The men and women you speak of rise above any political or national existence - being of one nation in their case doesn't go far enough...they are our greatest heroes and what they do, and are doing and have done is for all people regardless of nationality. |
