If you have an x64 processor (the AMD Athlon 64, AMD Opteron, Intel Pentium 4 with EM64T, or Intel Xeon with EM64T) and a licensed copy of Windows XP Professional or Windows Server 2003 (32-bit), think about taking advantage of the x64 Edition Technology Advancement Program and exchange your 32-bit OS license for the equivalent x64 OS license. | H-P and others still do not have drivers avialable for most of their scanners and printers that are less then 3 years old. Driver support for peripherals will be our biggest challenge in implementing Win XP x64. |

The link that is on the Microsoft site that supposedly leads to x64 supported peripherals doesn’t seem to lead to any Windows XP x64 items or drivers. This post was edited by bobsireno on Monday, April 25, 2005 at 14:37. |
