Following up on this preview in Saturday's paper, IBM failed to end Microsoft's winning streak in their charity hockey game over the weekend in Seattle, falling 9-5 to the hometown team.
However, it was one of the tougher games that the team from Redmond has yet faced in the Hockey Challenge's seven-year history. Also, it should be noted that Big Blue's team was assembled just for the event, consisting of people from various IBM offices around the country who hadn't played together previously. Microsoft's team plays together regularly. There's already talk about the possibility of IBM returning for a rematch next year.
