Alienware Unveils New DHS 2 Series Media Center | |

Alienware announced the availability of the DHS 2 Series media center system. The DHS 2 Series is the newest addition to Alienware's line of media center systems, which includes the DHS 5 Series and the DHD with LCD display, giving customers a wide range of systems for every budget and need.
Equipped with Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, the Alienware DHS 2 Series was created to replace nearly every home entertainment device. The DHS 2 Series delivers the options and features of a DVD player and recorder, CD player and recorder, DVR, FM Tuner, CD jukebox and a high- performance PC. In addition, all of the content from the DHS 2 Series can be shared with other TVs in the home through the use of Microsoft's Media Center Extender devices. | ||

Says it requires Windows XP SP1/SP2.

After seeing someone here point it out, I ordered and received the $37 MCE Remote from NewEgg yesterday for my "Home-Brew" MCPC.
Damn thing actually works well and is quite useful! I don't have to keep the Gyration Keyboard/Mouse at the Coffee Table any more. Side note - They had the latest Sony Dual-Layer DVD Burners on Turkey-Day special for _$89_. No rebates, no gimmicks, full retail box. I bought two :) $4 shipping for the entire order and it arrived in 3 days. TL |

Won't run on _any_ of my machines. It just crashes with an error dialog. As far as I can tell they all meet the requirements. This Bun ain't done. TL |
