Apple is playing the peer group card, announcing its new iTunes Affiliate Program, and confirming over 125 song downloads since launch. Available initially in the US only, the iTunes Affiliate Porgram lets Web sites small and large make money by referring site visitors to iTunes to buy songs. Apple is offering participating sites 5 per cent of revenues earned through sounds purchased by iTunes visitors referred by a site. | ||

| Considering there is a huge application process, and then you have to set up your web site for the content, and then you have to include the content from Apple, and then you are talking about a handful of web sites with much fewer viewers than probably even this one... all within 1 day... it is impressive. I also think it's impressive that they have a number and are willing to provide it. |
