I can't get this thing to work... can't find the collector nor the reports. Looks like an amateur .net app to boot... I'm so sad. Anybody else get this to work?

#4, You're right thats far too risky. Linux is just a risky business in general.
And in your scenario, Linux could have been responsible for the loss of lives.
I dont see what other reasons we need to completely can it, and maybe can open source altogether.
Its obvious to me now that OSS is just pure evil, and anyone who supports it will go straight to hell.
