Wisconsin is joining nine other states that are sueing Microsoft in agreeing to settle the landmark monopoly case. The State Justice Department believes a settlement with Microsoft will lead to additional software competition and provide consumers with more choices. A judge will decide how to resolve the antitrust charges against the software giant. Washington federal judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly is allowing some states from the original suit to settle and the other states to continue with the antitrust case.
