Eager to build buzz, Microsoft begins its push Tuesday to get consumers salivating about its latest Windows upgrade, expected to ship later this year. Microsoft has dubbed Windows XP as the most significant Windows release in half a decade, but Wall Street is waiting to see whether customer acceptance matches pre-release hype. "Windows XP is the biggest advance since Windows first shipped," Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates said in an e-mail interview. "With Windows XP, we believe we've delivered on what people are looking for — a smarter, more intuitive computer."
