I wonder if people are starting to realize SQL Server 2000 isn't just a crappy toy database server anymore.
It's great. SQL Server 2000 scores the highest TPC results in history, for far less money than anybody else, and Sun/Oracle/IBM people dismiss it because they say those benchmarks don't traslate into real application performance. They often use SAP as an example of a "real application." Well, there ya go. Now all that's left is for Microsoft to build in truly distributed database processing (like Oracle) and there will be NO reason not to use SQL Server 2000. |
