New Random Map "Sherwood Forest" for Age of Empires II: the Conquerors | |

Imagine a map where your town is surrounded by forests, and yet you can still walk freely through them. In Sherwood Forest, you won't find the standard large clump of trees. Instead you will find them scattered everywhere across the map. There are still many great places to place a lumber camp, as some areas tend to be denser in forest than others, but you may find yourself relocating your woodcutters a little more often. The trick I used for this map was not to place very much forest terrain at all. Instead, much like the trees that start nearby your town center every game, I placed them as objects, and by the hundreds. There are two variations for the Sherwood Forst Map, first ES@Sherwood Forest for Multiplayer and ES@Sherwood Heros for Single Player games.
