| With 222 million transisters and 400Mhz it has to be a windblower! They need to start using low voltage processors, something like the pentium M so they dont need huge fans and two ATX power connections. |

I love drooling over this stuff, even though I have no real plans to upgrade my PC.
I find console gaming to be much cheaper rather than buying the latest and greatest hardware to play the latest and greatest games at decent quality with good FPS. But, hey, I'm cheap. |

I find very few console games which are appealing for any length of time. I prefer mouse and keyboard for my interaction, the joystick things just aren't precise enough.
Anyway, I have a GeForce4 and haven't had a need to upgrade it. I play Call of Duty a lot lately, and it's more than adequate. But a new GeForce6 is good, because it means the 5's will get cheaper. :-) |

| What happened to PCI Express? I thought that new cards would have been based on this technology. Actually I decided to buy a new system but I am waiting until PCI Express based one will be available. |

Fritzly--I'm in the same boat. It looks like it won't make much difference for the time being, though:
http://www.tomshardware.com/graphic/20040310/index.html That's not to say that PCI Express won't be useful for other devices, though (once they are introduced! NICs and hard disk controllers come to mind...). You could always buy a board with PCI-X slots on it already, though. |

| I see it has MPEG 1/2/4 hardware encode/decode support as well as WM9 hardware decode support... bummer that it has no WM9 hardware encode support! But nonetheless a step in the right direction. :) |
