ActiveWin.com has learned that Microsoft plans to update Windows XP's End User License Agreement with Service Pack 2, to be released this summer. The new agreement stipulates that Windows XP can only be activated ONCE, after which time a $20 "Expansion Pack" must be purchased, even if the activation takes place on the same computer. Users are given a choice: If they do not agree with the new license, they have every right not to install Windows XP SP2.
In related news, ActiveWin.com has learned what Microsoft plans to do with its huge $60 billion dollar stockpile. The company will buy AOL, Google, Sun, Novell, and Yahoo! Microsoft also plans on forming an army to invade Canada. Calling it a, "win for big business," President Bush said he will do all he can to help the acquisitions go through, and tentatively commit troops to the Canada effort.
