Windows Server 2003 Troubleshooting Stop Errors | |

When a computer running Microsoft® Windows Server™ 2003 detects an unexpected problem from which it cannot recover, a Stop error occurs. A Stop error serves to protect the integrity of the system by immediately stopping all processing. Although it is theoretically possible for Windows Server 2003 to continue functioning when it detects that a core component has experienced a serious problem, the integrity of the system would be questionable, which could lead to security violations, system corruption, and invalid transaction processing. When a Stop error occurs, Windows Server 2003 displays a Stop message, sometimes referred to as a “blue screen,” which is a text-mode error message that reports information about the condition. A basic understanding of Stop errors and their underlying causes improves your ability to locate and understand technical information or perform diagnostic procedures requested of you by technical support personnel. | ||

Has anyone noticed that the activewin RSS feed hasn't been updated, but the content on the web page has been? I noticed it has been a bit “off and on” the last few days...but it hasn't updated all day. Now, I have read activewin articles OUTSIDE of feeddemon in MSN Explorer...the tragedy!!! RSS has spoiled me for life ;)
<Unrelated vent of kudos & rants due to insomnia> Kudos: BTW, I wanted to mention that MSN 9 Premium is pretty damn cool. I felt a little silly using "training wheel internet" suites like AOL/MSN7 after being in the industry for 8 years. Somehow, I got signed up for some BETA of MSN 9, so I checked it out again for the first time in two years when the BETA went out. I was surprised that the service has really matured with core features like: seamless parent controls, a decent sidebar (desktopsidebar.com is better however), integrated access to everything (bank accounts, bills, encarta, photo management), really great outlook integration, and other cool improvements. I’m addicted. Rant: I deeply wish Verizon/Microsoft/Samsung would release my PPCPE 2003 upgrade for my i700 already. I want to try out Pocket Hotmail (online/offline msn explorer for the PPC using web services (with gprs/cdma “always on” access for IM, Alerts, GPS). This service, I believe, will include push on demand email (instant calendaring, email, alerts) similar to Exchange 2003 SMS PPC alerting...if Verizon does it right that is. And if Microsoft includes Mappoint location services and driving directions in conjunction with the forthcoming Verizon/Samsung i700 aGPS service…and bundles it with my MSN subscription…I’ll be a customer for life. I may be cursed however; because now I’m drooling over the new Motorola MPX that will be released later this year. Hopefully my digital nirvana’s infrastructure will come together before that time…at which time I can drool at Asia’s 4G wireless and watch all the productivity gains available in other countries to trickle in to America years later :( And damn’t Microsoft, will you release a pocket pc version of the portable media center/smart sync already…and package it with a 20gb SDIO card!!! You can do it, you got 50+ billion…make it happen :) </Unrelated vent of kudos & rants due to insomnia> Humor |
