- DOWNLOAD: Xterm Medical Dictionary v1.02: Med students, doctors, science students, and people interested in science and medicine will appreciate this reference. Customize the dictionary to use your preferred colors and font as well as the basic program options such as system tray, remember window position, and hints. It comes with a capability to search definitions for a word or two joined words using logical operators (+, -, /). "The foot bone is connected to the ankle bone, the ankle bone is connected to the leg bone, and on and on" won't help you get an A on the final exam.
- DOWNLOAD: TurboNavigator v1.46Opening this program gave me a deja vu moment as the file manager resembles the old Windows file manager from, I believe, 3.11. Those who don't like the current Windows file explorer will find this one worth checking out. It has a two-paned window where each pane can be opened to any directory without having an impact on the other. Its menu provides quick access to display properties, the media player, and system properties. Files can be viewed, edited, encrypted / decrypted from within TurboNavigator.
- DOWNLOAD: Chainsaw v3.6: Of course, I had thoughts of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre running through my head when I saw this program's name, but it's safer and nicer than the horror movie. Me don't like horror films. To download the file, select one of the places listed at the bottom and search for Chainsaw. After locating a .doc file larger than 1M, I dragged and dropped the file on the chainsaw and the program promptly went to work splitting it into four files and one .bat file. Send all five files and click on the .bat to sew them back together again. Hey, maybe it will work for Humpty Dumpty? It works with various (I assume all, but never say "all") file types.
