| 10 million, divide by 3 = 3.33 each child, inflation at 2.8% annually for 35 years means when the kids are mid life the 3.33million will be worth about 1.5 million in today’s money....divide that by 30 years and its an annual income $50,000 for 30 years. $50,000....isn’t that much. I think its a good amount. It will make life easier as mentioned...but working for a living will be a must. Granted, thrown into Roth IRA for 30 years instead...that would make life easy. |

If I were his kid, and only getting $10M (I think its $10M each, not 1/3 of that)... I'll tell you what I'd do. It would be my MISSION to convince dear old daddy to change his mind. Pull out all the stops. "Goodnight son, I love you" says Bill. "FU Daddy" - would be my reply. Eventually, he'd crack and I'd have the cash.
Anyway, do you really think they are going to liquidate everything? No way! That house alone is $50M or so. |

| Keep in mind that their mother is also a millionaire and more than likely they probably already own shares MSFT et al. So, by the time that Bill is gone they won't need his $10 million. |
