Microsoft Plans Office 2003 Service Pack For May | |

Microsoft is putting pedal to the metal to get Service Pack 1 for Office 2003 out by May, sources said. The current schedule is to prep a release candidate by April and final, or "Release To Web," code by late May. This release is critical because many corporate accounts hold off on upgrading to new software versions until the first service pack is available. | ||

Interesting. I also found an article that stated Nintendo released a Pokemon card back in 1999 with the Manji symbol on it, and had to remove it from Western markets because of the same misunderstanding. I hope the fix the problem in Word where it forgets send-to Email Addresses...
I have several reports that I have to send out to several dozen people, sometimes dailiy. I email it right out of Word to them. Until now, the document remembered all of the email addresses for the recipients, and all I had to do was hit the email button, and send copy. Maybe add or delete an address or two first. Word 2003 has broken that. It forgets ALL of the email addresses when you close the document. This is a MAJOR issue for me that needs to be resolved. I looked for a preference setting, but I can't find one. I'm not saying it isn't buried away somewhere though... TL |

I knew someone was going to recommend this, and I forgot to cover it in my original post :) Distribution lists won't work for me because the list can change on a daily, sometimes hourly, basis. But it's usually only one recipient or two, easy to fix at the last minute before hitting the send button in Word. Or at least it used to be :( Thanks for the suggestion though! TL |
