You may not find Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards and Jason Alexander yada-yada-yada-ing in Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment's upcoming DVD edition of the TV show Seinfeld. According to a New York Times article, Louis-Dreyfus, who played Elaine; Richards, who played Kramer; and Jason Alexander, who portrayed George, are refusing to participate in the production because they are being offered only a recording fee instead of a portion of the profits from the DVD. The first season is expected to be released in December 2004.
Slated to share in the DVD's profits are star Jerry Seinfeld, who also co-created and executive produced the show; co-creator and co-executive producer Larry David; Time Warner; Columbia TriStar Television; and Castle Rock Television, according to the article. A spokeswoman for Jerry Seinfeld told the paper that the actor hopes to contact his co-stars after the New Year to persuade them to participate.
