Sega fans must have been quietly crapping themselves this morning when Sega and Microsoft, for the very first time, showed what was ostensibly footage of the next gen update of Panzer Dragoon, one of the most anticipated titles green-lighted from the newly formed multi-format Sega. First appearing on Saturn, the initial two games in the series arrived as shoot-'em-ups, with a third bringing a role-playing flavour to the franchise. Panzer Dragoon was golden.
Sega blithely stood in its press conference this morning at Tokyo Game Show and told startled journalists that they were about to see the first footage of the Xbox update. Nothing has ever been seen of the game before. The world waited…
…for a load of bollocks. Well, not bollocks exactly, but what was shown was merely a montage of moving artwork that displayed nothing of the actual content of the game. Great. The Sega massive have been fuming on the world's message boards today. Guess they'll just have to wait a little longer.
