Microsoft Office 2003 Leaks Onto Internet; Some Customers Will Get Legit Copies Monday | |

Illicit copies of Office 2003 leaked out onto the Internet Relay Chat (IRC) early Thursday, and on the same day, Microsoft said it would make the new office suite available to some licensing customers. Corporations and organizations which bought into Microsoft's maintenance program, Software Assurance, as well as subscribers to its Microsoft Developer Network, will be able to download Office 2003 and the OneNote stand-alone application starting Monday, Sept. 15, Microsoft said. | ||

I want just one release, just one release from Microsoft not to be leaked on the Internet, or for the person who leaked it to be found.
Not to mention that on Saturday another internal Microsoft build found its way on the internet. I say this from an IT prespective because users download this new office suite and for the ones who have install priveleges, install it, and before you know it the BSA or Microsoft is knocking on our doors. After so many years of releasing thousands of products why can't Microsoft track this down... |

Brian, AW said it would be on MSDN today and it isn't. Just a hunch, but that's prolly why he thinks you liked.
Preacher, I feel your pain. It still might be posted later today though. Whoever maintains subsciber downloads doesn't keep info current. Even for a while after Office System 2003 is posted (assuming it is before 1 Oct), the message that it will be posted on 1 Oct might still be there. |

| Actually, we haven't lied as we posted the Oct 1st date ages ago when MSDN said that was the day - this isn't Activewin saying it, its both yahoo news, press releases and Microsoft stating it is coming today...the "source" part kind of gives that one away. |
