Apple is acquiring more recognition as a credible choice for business, enterprise and government customers. Yesterday, Mac OS X and Linux were added to the list of computer platforms officially supported by the US Federal government, reports Government Computing News. OS X has been introduced in v1.1 of the Technical Reference Model of the Federal Enterprise Architecture Program Management Office. The previous model included only J2EE, Java 2 Micro Edition, Microsoft's .Net and Windows 2000, and wireless and mobile technologies as supported platforms.
