Apple has released a security update for Mac OS X titled simply "Security Update 2003-08-14." The update is intended to fix a security hole that could allow someone to take over your Mac, though Apple's update note is a bit geeky in its explanation:
Security Update 2003-08-14 addresses a potential vulnerability in the fb_realpath() function which could allow a local or remote user to gain unauthorized root privileges to a system.
