PeopleSoft and America Online (AOL) have prepared PeopleSoft's applications (including CRM, SCM, SRM, ESA, and more) for integration with the AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) product. The agreement reiterates PeopleSoft's commitment to integrating a wide range of IM and collaborative products from partners, a strategy designed to support the diverse technology choices of PeopleSoft customers. Chris Heller, director of product strategy for PeopleSoft's PeopleTools, says that, "There's a huge need to provide collaboration [encompassing] non-PeopleSoft as well as PeopleSoft systems." He highlights PeopleSoft's commitment to also work with Yahoo, Microsoft, and IBM (via Lotus Sametime) as well as AOL on the IM front, saying, "It's in support of our view of the real-time enterprise." | ||

| Yikes!!!! MS dropped the ball on this one. MSN messenger should be the corporate IM client, AIM is for College Dorms. |
