LONDON (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp MSFT.O announced a trio of European government contract wins on Tuesday, the latest salvo in the growing turf battle between the software giant and vendors of the upstart Linux software. The U.S. software giant would not disclose financial terms of the deals, which it said it won after competing head-to-head for the business with various Linux vendors. | ||

I don't know. Microsoft never really cared or said anything about Linux until several years after the Linux community began attacking Microsoft. I say attack, not in a product sense, but in a rhetoric sense via lies and FUD. You play with fire, you're going to get burned. "In one thread I said that Linux was a good desktop for me... and am jumped over for saying that linux is god" Personally I think that's great. That's always been my attitude, that if Linux is good for you, and you understand it's perils that you should use it. But why do you feel you have to come to a windows news site to tell us? Do you think we're all pagans who haven't heard the word and need to be saved? "Just so you know, although you must form you own opinion, my claim is that I'm against all evangelical computer trends. " Which is why I abandoned the Church of Linux. |
