In the latest development in the European Microsoft anti-trust case, the European Commission has sent out a questionnaire to music and film sector stakeholders, asking them what they think about the technologies used to stream media over the internet. This move means that any conclusion to the five-year-old case could be as much as a year away.In the case, the Commission has alleged that, by bundling Windows Media Player with the Windows operating system, the software giant has restricted competition in the internet media player market, undermining the market potential of QuickTime and RealPlayer.
