I'm with you, CPUGuy, even though to most it sounds like a bad idea. I've never had a virus on any of my home computers, either. I stayed away as I've seen Norton slow fast machines to a crawl; we use Trend Micro at work and it is fantastic, but I don't have any realtime scan at home. I resort to the free online scanner from Trend if I'm doing troubleshooting, but so far I've been virus-free. I wouldn't have a problem with installing one, but I guess I'd rather save the money. For me, it seems that if you're informed and careful, you won't get into much trouble with viruses. Maybe I'll get burned someday, but for now, I'm staying away from realtime scanners on my home machines....
