I don't think this has anything to do with being pro or anti MS...
Basically what it boils down to is this:
According to Novell, Microsoft is spreading misinformation, or at very least, incorrect information.
Microsoft posted an article to it's MoneyCentral site about how Novell was getting out of the Server business. Novell said that it wasn't, and had a rather difficult time getting MoneyCentral to take it down.
Now Microsoft's advertising department is, evidentally, under the same impression. I don't really blame them, I thought that Novell was changing it's focus as well... but still, if Novell corrected them before, they really shouldn't have to correct them again about the same issue.
I don't think that a law suit is really what needs to happen here, but I do think that the Advertising Dept. at Microsoft needs to be a bit more careful. And Novell should certainly not receive any payments for 'damages'... if Novell had done a better job of clearing this issue of the first time, it never would have happened again.
Oh well, I thought that ad was pretty funny... it just seems to me that Novell needs to do a little bit of agressive advertising so that people know it's not going away.
