Microsoft opens Office door for employees after hours | |

From September, Microsoft will allow certain corporate and Government organisations to let employees use Office software at home for free. A rough estimate by the Herald puts the number of home users who could benefit at 250,000, which would make the offer worth up to $300 million in New Zealand. | ||

| Got to agree with Jagged, not because I'm multi-platform, but because today's exemplary "all Windows" day provoked a total of about 8 posts today. Nothing interesting to read. Nothing provocative or informative to discuss. Great. |

Never fear... when opensource is realized to be a complete commercial failure... the media will find another THING that is gonna KILL MICROSOFT. But, more than likely... they will be wrong again... like they were with the Macintosh, Netscape, AOL, RealNetworks, the DOJ, Nokia, Sony, Linux, and on and on.
They keep throwing them at him, and BillG keeps hittin 'em outta the park. |

Well, while this site listens to the crickets and watches the tumbleweeds blow by, one of Byron's "new" sites is blowing up because of a Mac rumor. Strange how things change.
Maybe Byron can post his Mac news here while it's slow, and the AW boys can port their code (or host the site) over to the underpowered PHP-Nuke site of TopTechTips if it continues to grow. [JK] |
