| Being a disillusioned Linux user (lack of hardware support + archaic way of upgrading system components) I don't see this as a threat to Linux at all. The only threat is in Linux programmers wanting to appease the diehard Linux console users that demand line command structure, and no ease of use for the laity. Until Linux can get driver upgrades/installs as easy as double clicking on an icon, (same goes for program installation), it will not be a viable OS for the masses. |
