We´ve got some exciting new marketing stuff coming up later this year. I can´t go into details, but it´s very, very nice. said Neil Enns (Lead Program Manager from Microsoft Mobile Devices Product Group).
I'm finally biting the bullet and replacing my good old StarTAC 7868 with a new phone. I want one on the Verizon network, and I was thinking about hte Samsung a530, but these smartphones look pretty neat too.
How about the Samsung i600? Any recommendations / comments?
Well here in Texas Verizon is the absolute pits... ATT is king as far as quality of connections you can get. Supposedly later this summer they will be releasing a Tanager phone and I think that is when I am going to upgrade my phone.
Samsung makes pretty good phones. The i600 looks pretty sweet but I haven't personally played with one.
RMD, in terms of phones, the Samsungs are cool. It's a question of how your service ties into the phone capabilities. So far I find ATT's mLife the most compelling (paired with the new Nokia), but I'm evaluating T-Mobile now. I personally have been boycotting Verizon after running into major issues with them from the transition to BellAtlantic to Verizon. And unfortunately, Sprint makes it very non-cost-effective to use downloads and other features without their Vision plan--but I don't find it worth the money.
