I don't think of myself as old, but maybe i am. i can remember when Microsoft's flagship product, MBASIC, was new to the market. Hell, I can remember when there wasn't even a Microsoft. I have seen cycles come and go in the technology business, and it's becoming clear we are likely at the beginning of the end of the cycle of Microsoft dominance. | ||

| (to author) if you were old enough to see these things, then you should be wise enough to see that there has never been something like software to revolutionize technology and MS has been there from the start. So it's impossible to say that there are ups and downs when this is completely virgin territory so any punditry is from ignorance. |

I guess I'm still not seeing it.
But then I think what this guy is really saying is that the media just won't be talking about Microsoft as much. That's not a revelation... the articles were getting boring. |

steven1832 - I keep looking back, and remembering the claims and still not seeing the follow through.
cba - The UI's under Linux do not behave correctly to mouse events. How can you claim they are usable? |

#18 - Gnome in particular. Selecting any UI objects on screen is not exact science, mouse must be positioned exactly in the center.
This is the way X11 has always behaved. |
