Example? Visual Studio, which I used for years, continually is essentially pushing the MS way... they want to take away the make files (have they yet), generate only MFC code, integrate with VSS, amplify platform dependencies. Not just MS, any company... it makes sense, it's fair. But in that case no one can whine if the customer or tool user decides that model just isn't in their best interest. I'd like tools that want to work together, that desire interoperability.
Ever heard of something called COM (the backbone of pre .NET)? How can they amply other platforms when behinds the scenes a Microsoft OS is required?
And there are other version control tools out there besides Source Safe. Why don’t you go and code in Java and not have to bother with Microsoft then?
On the Foxpro issue, will MS still be required to give tech support for it on Linux?
