Midway Sports announced today that it has refocused its league-licensed sports products to appeal to a broader sports gaming audience. The NFL Blitz and NHL Hitz franchises have been reinvented, bringing a new level of action and authenticity to the sports game market and creating an entirely new approach to league-licensed sports.
“It was exciting to find both hardcore and casual fans so interested in seeing Midway Sports make this move,” said Jon Dean, vice president, sports development unit, Midway Amusement Games LLC. “We have always had the corner on the arcade-style sports marketplace.
