In September 2002 we reviewed several cameras with varying features from different manufacturers. The article was titled LAN Camera Technology Offers A New View, and it provided some suggestions as to how these cameras could be used in the real world. Among the cameras covered in the review was the Axis 2100 Network Camera. Though it is a nice product, the Model 2100 is Axis's entry level, "no frills" network camera. Of the cameras covered in the review, we found that the 2100 offered the best picture quality and low[should this be lowest?] lux rating, with the additional features of support for a serial modem and audio support through the 2100's nine-pin serial port.
