Microsoft tends to support feel-good projects like minority scholarships and helping immigrants, so the new marquee talent on the MSNBC cable network is a little surprising. The race-baiting arch conservative Michael Savage uses his pulpit on the Microsoft-NBC broadcasting venture to call for closing borders and ending bilingual education, among other things. | ||

MSNBC had done a good job of resisting the country's center-right shift by continuing to put liberals up for the slaughter in ratings. Apparently they're starting to realize that that's not working anymore and people can't take idiots like Donahue seriously.
But I'm sure once word about Savage crawls up the ranks, the media execs will go "Oh oh! A conservative who's spouting original thoughts! Shut him down, shut him down now!" jvmahon - A good list, but I seriously don't believe Chris Matthews belongs on that list.
Chris Matthews and Christopher Hitchens are two of my favorite pundits. Largely because they are not predictable, they say what's on their mind and try to think of what's right, rather than what's popular or what's some party line. I'm not even sure Imus belongs on that list. Although I just generally think he's a kook. |

HailStorm - Michael Savage is a short timer. Actually I think MSNBC might be short for this world.
Yeah, Hitchens is brilliant. I don't always agree with him, but I love reading his arguments. mhfm - You mean we'll never want to turn on the radio ever again out of sheer disgust? |

Ahh neat. parker thinks I'm brainwashed because I refuse to tow a party line. Yet he admits that he avoids reading any point of view contrary to his own. There's a terrible irony there.

parker - Ahh, yes... I've seen such stories before. Lest I remind you, I first became aware of the atrocities in Iraq back in '87/'88 timeframe. We were discussing this over the weekend, but you were apparently too busy defending genocide in Iraq to comprehend what I was saying.
You are by far the worst kind of moral relativist I have ever seen, and on top of that a yellow bellied coward. Again I fail to see what relevance you play in any discussion. HailStorm - Hmm, you think so? I didn't realize they were profitable, I was under the impression they were losing money.
