Isn't this a repeat of a few days ago?
#1 How is Borland any closer to Chapter 11? And why is it so unimaginable to you that someone else could write a better IDE than the producer of product X, in this case .NET? Is it that Microsoft happen to write the most brilliant IDE's the world have ever seen and no-one could possibly compare? Many will argue that Borland have now and had in the past the best IDE's. C++ Builder was definetely much better than Visual C++ for instance whilst J Builder has been regarded as the best Java IDE for several year now.
Try to take those blinkers off once in a while. If Borland don't make a better IDE than Visual Studio .NET then you haven't lost anything, however if they succeed and you happen to be a programmer, which from your comments I highly doubt you are, you will no doubt benefit in one way or another. Even if you do not 'switch' IDE's, if enough developers like feature X in Borland's IDE, Microsoft may just include it in Visual Studio. Everybody wins.
