A Microsoft manager's s alleged theft of software worth $9 million, detailed Wednesday when the man was arrested, was made possible by a loosely controlled internal ordering system that reflects the trust the company puts in its employees, an expert said yesterday. That system should be tightened but not trashed, lest Microsoft convert its corporate culture from one of openness to one of suspicion and distrust, warned one analyst. | ||

You know for the cost... openoffice is not thaat bad, its certainly not msoffice, but good enough to slowly start putting some presure on the office suite pricing. Have to say though that the disk space use is about the same so the smaller foot print argument is not really valid, but that's a minor consern.
