Nielsen//NetRatings on Thursday released data showing that Microsoft Corp (NasdaqNM:MSFT - News) and AOL Time Warner (NYSE:AOL - News) were neck-and-neck as the top parent companies online, attracting more than 92.6 million visitors.In its first digital media audience rankings to include Internet applications and proprietary browser channels, such as instant messaging applications, the ratings measurement group said both Microsoft's and AOL's ubiquity online has reached nearly 72 percent of the active online population.
