Windows Longhorn Alpha Leaks to the Web | |

An internal alpha build of Microsoft's next version of Windows, code-named Longhorn, made its way onto the Internet early Tuesday. The leaked build, which is numbered 3683, appears to be from late September and sports quite a few new feature concepts—although many are not yet functional. Microsoft experienced a similar leak during the alpha stages of Windows XP, then code-named Whistler. | ||

| Thats very true, but we at ActiveWin don't write news articles. We just wanted to get the word out this had leaked. When this had posted, the eWeek article had yet to be published and the news had not really spread. But, it was well written and thought was put into it. I don't see how it was unprofessional just because it was only two sentences. |

While I cannot judge their intentions, I think number one was getting on us for posting the same news story twice... which was why I said this one has much more information.
We have always tried to be clear that we generally do not write news articles. Maybe snippets once and a while, when something big has happened and the major news sites do not have their stories out yet but rarely full news articles. You never said why you thought ours was unprofessional. |
