For years, William H. Gates III and Warren E. Buffett have routinely mailed each other magazine articles that have caught their eye. They rip pieces out of the magazines, jot notes in the margins, and pop them in the mail. Gates anticipates the day when he won't have to mess with all that. With his new Tablet PC, he plans to call up articles from the Web, scrawl thoughts on the screen with a digital pen, and shoot it off to Buffett via e-mail. He's already using an early version of tablet software to send electronically annotated articles to Microsoft colleagues. "I have anticipated this for many, many years. And here it is," says Gates. | ||

I would hardly call Graphiti, or whatever Palm calls it now, hand-writing recognition, rather, it recognizes the characters that it programed into it, not your handwriting.
Yes, the recognition in the TabletPC's is outstanding, however, in a business meeting, such as what you are talking about, it would be much better to just take hand-written notes (which you can also do with the TabletPC, or heck, even with a PocketPC), saves a lot of time, and the OS can actually recognize the entered text, but still display it as hand-written, which allows you to, basically, search your notes for keywords and such. It's really very nice. I would recomend getting away from the Palm if you want to get anything done in a metting. |

| One more thing, it calls the stylus a digital pen, however, that is not possible, the pen is analog, the ink is digital, but the pen is analog.... |
