Ok, I'll repeat it here too...
"This whole case was a democratic witch-hunt" Kenneth Starr and Robert Bork are democrats? FinancialWiz - I'll admit it. My main gripe about this antitrust lawsuit was that it listened to the whining from Netscape rather than the legitimate complaints. |

Fact #1 - Democrats were in power when this crap antitrust case began.
Fact #2 - Both sides supported the case (Democrats through action, and Republicans through inaction). Fact #3 - Both sides are lawyers. THEY are the problem, regardless of political designation. This post was edited by mooresa56 on Friday, November 01, 2002 at 16:41. |

What do you have if you have a lawyer buried neck deep in sand? Not quite enough sand. The only winners in this whole thing are the lawyers on both sides. Drop it all, and compete on your products, not in the courtroom. |

mooresa56 - Hmm... Still seems pretty clear to me that Bork and Starr wrote extensively on this issue. Orrin Hatch played a role as well. At least one of the Attorney Generals involved inthe lawsuit was a Republican, and many of the State Governors.
No, Khyron is right in describing this issue was non-partisan. Not every issue in this world has to be partisan in nature, you realize. As far as lawyers... If you look back at the trial transcripts you'll notice that there were lawyers on both sides. That is, lawyers defend as well as offend, and they are a necessary part of a modern legal system. |
