I tried trillian, but I hate when they make UI's too "good". I get lost and I find it hard to do the simplest things some times. Not to mention it doesn't have all the features of MSN (yes, I know it has a few extras), and I only use MSN, why install Trillian and take a hit?
MSN8 looks awesome though. Those parental filters look amazing. I hope they really work and work well. The web page sharing thing looks cool too. |

You're seeing what's coming out on the next version of Windows (Longhorn) Interface (Plex).
MSN is not utilizing this technology. By the way ...remember ActiveDesktop? Well here it is ...repackaged and looking oh so spiffy. :) Microsoft is very good in repackaging technology that was deemed useless. Look out for Hailstorm's re-incarnation. =) |

Trade do you know how this works with multiple comps? Since this is a service can I install the software at home work and laptop?
How does this work for families? Is 10 bucks a month good for my whole household or would I need to shell out 10 a month for each family member? THanks, RA |

Sorry Bob ...but I just looked at it just now, but even with MSN 8, it is still pointing to version 4.6. However, I am using Messenger 5 now, and it is running just fine.
However I did find out that if you do use MSN Calendar and sync with your PDA, you have to install MSN Intellisync (HUH?!?). You have to download it from MSN, but it is not available at the moment. I hope they've used ActiveSync to sync with MSN Calendar. This post was edited by rommels on Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at 23:39. |
