Well, I don't understand why people equate the execution of an aggressive corporate strategy with theft and deception...for gosh sakes, Lindows is a clone of an OS - Both of Windows and UNIX features (more so Windows) and is playing catch-up (this is also quote from Steve Ballmer from a recent interview).
Regarding this article, it's very shady in the numbers...an OEM Windows XP license costs approx 50 bucks. Answer me this:
How does he equate that with $1,000 worth of MS software?
How are there not 100,000 applications available for download for windows (granted not on MS site, but Lindows did not write those applications either)?
Why is the price for XP 189 - 399, it's $99 to upgrade and OEM license that comes with your computer?
Even if you want to include an application bundle, in comparison, MS Works is a much better comparison...I mean office really has a lot more features than a typical home user needs, and together WITH XP probably costs only $80 OEM (since we are talking about buying a new computer w/Lindows)?
