Microsoft Corp. today announced that Microsoft® Windows® Update, a popular consumer site for downloading the latest product updates for Windows, has been nominated for a Webby Award for technical achievement. The Webby Award is the leading international honor for achievement in technology and creativity as selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The Fifth Annual Webby Awards will take place today at the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House. | ||

| Windows Update is a fantastic system. I would like to see Office Update work the same way, though; scan my system and present a list menu of available patches which are not installed. Ah well, Microsoft makes excellent products, but they're not perfect. |

| #6, while I sympathize with your sentiment, I'm sure they didn't just do this to make your life more difficult. I have confidence that there are compelling reasons that you can't install Critical Updates at the same time you install IE5.5, probably because many of those same updates depend on or are included with the installation of the new browser. |
