When Nintendo first announced that Metroid Prime for the GameCube was going to be in 3D, the hardcore fans cried. When it was announced that the development on Metroid Prime was being done by Retro Studios, a team new to the series, the hardcore fans wondered if Nintendo had lost its mind.
