Battlefield: 1942 has slowly made its way into the public eye since the release of the online demo before its final release. With very little known about the game prior to the demo gamers from around the world were shocked when they witnessed the magnificence that is Battlefield 1942. Developed by a small company called Digital Illusions who entered the gaming scene with a World War II shooter, Codename Eagle. Whilst the game had very little to offer it was however one of the first, First Person Shooters to offer the player the chance to drive vehicles. With that in mind the developers have returned once again with a refined game that gives the player the chance to rein act World War II in their own way, as a mechanic, a pilot, a driver or even a medic – this game truly takes Multiplayer gaming to the next stage. Since the release of the demo expectations have been incredibly high, soon after the release of the demo servers were swamped all around the world with players teaming up and challenging against opposing teams for the ultimate victory. So it would seam that the developers were on the right track, with great first play previews there seamed to be only a few tweaks the guys needed to make before the game would be pure perfection.
