right on #1, I would think that it would be bluetooth or something like that! I already have a cordless desktop keyboard & mouse, and I am hooked; never cords anymore. Now if I could only find a place that I could setup my speakers the same way!!

That screen is called "Broadbench", the concept was developed by Gary Starkweather, the guy who invented the laser printer in the '60 and is now working at MS Research . It was mentioned in an interview Mr. Gates gave a while ago.
Very impressive indeed altough I believe that "Best Com" an experimental program that turns a PC into an administrative assistant, is even more amusing and more practical.

I have a GeForce4 440MX with dual 15" LCD displays. It's awesome! Very fast, very cool. I would love to have 3 monitors! Maybe I will do that, buy a 17" for the center. :)
I use the Nvidia n-view drivers and they work very well, as well if not better than built in OS drivers. I haven't seen a multi-screen capable video game yet.

I have a dual monitor setup but haven't found how to enable surround gaming. I have an ATI Radeon 8500. Is this possible with that card? How do I enable this for RTCW?

What's the big freakin' deal about a wireless keyboard? It would instantly be the A-number-1 security risk of your machine (beside the Windows OS), and in most cases, particularly in the office, you aren't really moving your keyboard.
Jeez, if there was a levitating keyboard which would float above my lap wherever I went (I do frequently incline and keyboard from my lap), I would still prefer the levitating keyboard with wire to the wireless version since even when I wander I'm not wandering that far away from the monitor... At least then I'd have a tether to grab it by if it fell or whatever. if I am wandering that far away (more than 4 feet from the monitor), aren't I using a laptop or tablet?
Can anyone explain? The desire for a wireless keyboard?

So, any of you who are clamoring for wireless keyboards, seriously, what the hell will you be doing that you just can't do today with a corded keyboard? I'm curious because this seems one of those valuable examples of misplaced desire and misplaced innovation and being first and being cool for no purpose whatsoever. Anyone? fenster? Byron?

What I hope is that in 5 years we will have speech recognition available n working. I would also like a kind of virtual screen projected in front of my desk or, if I turn around in the middle of the room. Sci-fi? I don't think so; when the movie "Blade runner" came out people were laughing at Harrison Ford cropping and enalrging a small part of a picture. Today is common stuff. There is also an economic logic in developping these technologies: in order to keep selling more n more powerful systems Intel n friends must give customers a reason to upgrade and today's apps will not do it for much longer.

Wireless keyboards are really nice for demos in the conference room. On my desk, though, it doesn't really matter.
