The Microsoft SQL Server Yukon Technical Preview is an invitation-only preview of the next generation release of SQL Server, code named “Yukon”. The Yukon Technical Preview will provide a small group of Microsoft’s customers and partners with in-depth technical content spanning all aspects of the upcoming Yukon release of SQL Server including innovations in the areas of programmability, manageability, scalability, and business intelligence. This will be a non-disclosure event. Designed for developers, database administrators, systems architects and IT professionals, the Yukon Technical Preview will offer more than 40 technical sessions and hands-on labs. Presentations will include general sessions from executive speakers such as Gordon Mangione of SQL Server and Jim Gray from Microsoft Research. | ||

I just read a very rediculous article about "Yukon" featuring the lunacy of some Gartner professional. I have heard the stupidest things from Gartner lately. A year ago we heard the oh so logical "Drop IIS and migrate to any other platform" from them. They continue to say things that just don't seem to make too much sense to businesses. Either that or they state the obvious. Grr. K, I'm don't with my soap box.
