Microsoft Rolls Out Largest Collection of Desktop Peripherals in Company History | |

Microsoft Corp. points the way to unprecedented desktop performance, comfort and style today as it unveils the largest collection of new mice and keyboards in its Hardware Group's 20-year history. Microsoft is offering seven new products to appeal to a wide variety of users. The new desktop peripherals are organized into three lines -- fun, sophisticated and serious -- according to users' computing style and preferred activities. The products announced today are Microsoft® Wireless Optical Mouse Blue, Optical Mouse Blue, MultiMedia Keyboard, Natural® MultiMedia Keyboard, Wireless Optical Desktop, Wireless Optical Desktop Pro and Notebook Optical Mouse, Microsoft's first optical mouse designed specifically for notebook computers. Most of these new products are PC and Macintosh compatible. | ||

I'm VERY disappointed that they didn't include the left-side control pod that exists on the Office keyboard.
Why can't they wrap it all up in to one really fantastic product? I have Office Keyboards all over the place. Even on my Mac's. If they would have rolled all of their features up into one very complete keyboard, they would have sold about 5 of them to me. TL |

| Maybe the Bluetooth combo in November? I have an Office keyboard too but I will switch when the BT will be out. |

| #2 ...I agree. In fact I was somewhat disappointed with the Desktop Pro; the mouse didn't have the buttons that I became familiar with (forward/back buttons). I'm just wondering if the receiver will work with the Wireless Intellimouse Explorer mouse that I have. |
